Seasons we cover

What is a seasonal porta potty rental?

A seasonal porta potty rental stays on site for a full season, from 4 weeks to 6 months, instead of a single weekend. Denton seasonal renters include youth sports leagues, fall football programs, farms at harvest, hunting leases, Christmas tree and pumpkin lots, and summer camps. Each season is billed in 28-day cycles with weekly service.

SeasonTypical monthsUsual setupWatch for

Billing

How is a season-long porta potty rental billed?

A season-long porta potty rental is billed every 28 days from drop-off day to pickup, with weekly service included in each cycle. A 15-week fall football season covers 105 days, which is 4 cycles of 28 days. There is no contract, and no new cycle is billed after the pickup date.

Worked example: fall football, August 1 to mid-November

  1. Season length: about 15 weeks, or 105 days.
  2. 105 ÷ 28 = 3.75. Round up to 4 billing cycles.
  3. Weekly service is included: about 15 service visits over the season.
  4. August two-a-days: add a second weekly visit for the first 4 weeks.
  5. After the last game, call for pickup. We collect within 1–2 business days.

Youth sports

How many porta potties does a youth sports complex need?

A youth sports complex needs porta potties sized for its busiest game day, not a weekday practice. A 300-person Saturday lasting 6 hours needs 9 standard units under our house method: 300 ÷ 35 = 8.6, rounded up. Split into 2 clusters, each cluster needs at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit.

Worked example: 4 fields, 300 people on a peak Saturday, 6 hours, concession stand

  1. 300 guests ÷ 35 per unit (4–8 hours) = 8.6. Round up to 9 units.
  2. Two clusters (north fields, south fields): 5% of each cluster, minimum 1 = 2 wheelchair-accessible units within the 9.
  3. Concession food: 9 toilets ÷ 2 = 4.5. Round up to 5 hand-wash stations.
  4. Weekday practice crowds are smaller, so weekly service keeps up. Tournament weekends add a visit.

Accessible counts follow the 2010 ADA Standards §213.2; confirm your city or league rules. Unit specs are on the wheelchair-accessible porta potty page.

Event porta potty calculator

Method: Brandon Rental Works house rule — 1 unit per 50 guests up to 4 hours, 1 per 35 for 4–8 hours, 1 per 25 beyond 8 hours, always rounded up; accessible count from 2010 ADA Standards §213.2 (5%, minimum 1).

Call with the field or lot address, the season dates and your busiest-day crowd. We set the units, service day and billing on one call.

Heat

Do seasonal porta potties need extra service in Texas heat?

Seasonal porta potties used in June through September often need 2 service visits a week instead of 1. Denton's average July high is about 96°F, and heat speeds odor in the 60-gallon holding tank. We suggest a second weekly visit for summer camps, August football practice and any group of 10 or more daily users.

  • Shade: place units under trees or on the north side of a building when the truck can still reach them.
  • Doors shut: a latched door keeps the inside cooler and keeps flies out.
  • Hand washing: in heat, kids and players wash more. Plan 1 station per 2 toilets.
  • Water and soap refills come with every service visit on sink units.

More hot-weather tips are in the porta potty summer heat guide.

Harvest & hunting

Can I get a porta potty for harvest season or a hunting lease?

Yes. Harvest crews and hunting leases around Denton get a standard unit or a towable trailer-mounted unit on 28-day billing for the season. Farms with 11 or more hand-labor field workers follow OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110: 1 toilet and 1 handwashing facility per 20 workers, within a quarter-mile walk.

  1. Send a Google Maps pin or GPS coordinates. Many leases have no street address.
  2. Give the gate code and tell us which gate if there are several.
  3. Describe the road. Sandy roads near Krum, Ponder and Aubrey can bog a truck after rain.
  4. Pick a spot near the camp or barn the service truck can reach every week.
  5. Call for pickup when the season closes.

Farm rules are covered in full on our long-term rental page, and ranch access tips on the ranch and campsite porta potty page.

OSHA 1928.110 is the farm minimum. It applies to agricultural employers with 11+ hand-labor field workers on a given day. A hunting camp is not a farm crew, but the same distance idea works: keep the unit close to where people spend the day.
Holiday lots & camps

What do Christmas tree lots, pumpkin patches and summer camps need?

A Christmas tree lot or pumpkin patch usually needs 1 standard unit for staff, plus a wheelchair-accessible unit and a hand-wash station when the public uses the restroom. A summer camp needs more: campers stay over 8 hours, so plan 1 unit per 25 campers, with hand washing and 2 visits a week.

Christmas tree lots

Late November through December fits in 1–2 billing cycles. Light the path: the sun sets early. Place the unit near parking, not in the tree rows the forklift uses.

Pumpkin patches

Families with kids, food trucks and hayrides. Add 1 hand-wash station for every 2 toilets. An accessible unit near parking serves strollers and grandparents too.

Summer camps and VBS

A 100-camper day camp running 9 hours needs 4 units (100 ÷ 25). Add 2 hand-wash stations, and service twice weekly in July heat.

Placement

Where should seasonal porta potties go at a ball field or holiday lot?

Seasonal porta potties belong on level, firm ground near the parking lot or main walkway, with the service side within about 25 feet of a path the pump truck can drive every week. The truck needs a path about 10–11 feet wide. Keep 3 feet clear in front of each door.

  • Ball fields: between the fields and parking, not behind a backstop where foul balls land.
  • Holiday lots: near the checkout tent, away from forklift and trailer lanes.
  • Camps: near cabins and the dining hall, on a lit path for night use.
  • Clay east of Denton gets slick after rain; pick gravel or high ground.
  • Wind: open fields catch spring storms. Ask us to stake or strap the units.

Timing

When should I book a seasonal porta potty rental?

Book a seasonal porta potty rental 1–2 weeks before the season opens, so units are in place for the first practice or the first customer. Fall gets crowded, because football, pumpkin lots, hunting leases and UNT home football Saturdays overlap. Same-day delivery by noon still covers a late start.

  1. Call with the address or pin, season start date and busiest-day crowd.
  2. Ask for a service day that fits your schedule, like early in the week after weekend games.
  3. Pay the first 28-day cycle upfront; later cycles autopay.
  4. Mark the spot with a cone or flag. Nobody needs to be there.
  5. Call for pickup after the last game, last tree or last hunt.

FAQ

Seasonal porta potty rental questions

Can I rent a porta potty for the whole football season?
Yes. A season-long rental stays on the field from the first practice to the last game and is billed every 28 days with weekly service included. A standard unit typically runs $145–$215 per 28 days before tax. Call (940) 275-3799 for pickup after the final game.
Is a seasonal rental cheaper than renting every weekend?
Usually, for a season of 4 weeks or more. A weekend event rental typically runs $165–$245 before tax each time it is delivered and picked up. A standard unit left on site typically runs $145–$215 per 28 days before tax, with weekly service included. Dispatch compares both on your quote.
Do football two-a-days need extra service?
Often, yes. Denton's average July high is about 96°F, and heat speeds odor in the holding tank. We suggest a second weekly service for summer camps, two-a-day football practices and crews of 10 or more. An extra visit typically runs $45–$75 before tax.
Do the units get cleaned between games?
Weekly service is included. Ask dispatch for a service day early in the week, after the weekend games, so the units are fresh for weekday practice. Tournament weekends can add an extra visit.
Do you put units at a Christmas tree or pumpkin lot?
Yes. Seasonal lots usually rent 1 standard unit for staff and customers, plus a hand-wash station, from setup to teardown on 28-day billing. For a lot open to the public, add a wheelchair-accessible unit. We place it near parking on firm ground.
Can I stop the rental between seasons and start again next year?
Yes. Call for pickup after the season ends, and no new 28-day cycle starts after pickup. There is no contract, so nothing carries over. Call again a few weeks before next season, and we set up a fresh delivery.
Can you put a porta potty at a deer lease or hunting camp?
Yes. Send a Google Maps pin or GPS coordinates, the gate code and notes about the road. A standard unit with weekly service works for most camps. Big ranches where hunters spread out can use a towable trailer-mounted unit.
