What sets the price

What 5 things change the cost of a porta potty rental?

Every porta potty rental price is set by 5 things: your location (ZIP code), the unit type, the dates and rental length, how often the unit is serviced, and how many units you order. Location and dates decide the delivery lines. Unit type and servicing decide the rental line. Quantity spreads one truck trip across more units.

Price factorHow it moves the price
LocationDenton County is our base zone. ZIPs in Collin, Dallas or Tarrant County can add a $25–$95 delivery zone fee.
Unit typeHand-wash station < standard < wheelchair-accessible < deluxe flushing < restroom trailer.
DatesEvents are one flat price for 1–5 days. Jobsites bill every 28 days. Same-day orders may add $0–$95.
ServicingWeekly service is included on 28-day rentals. Each extra visit is $45–$75.
QuantitySeveral units ride on one truck trip, so the delivery cost per unit drops.
Why we ask for your ZIP first. The ZIP decides the delivery zone, the route and whether same-day is possible. Give dispatch the ZIP, the date, the unit and the count, and the quote takes about 2 minutes.
Not sure how many? Use the porta potty sizing calculator before you call. Ordering the right count the first time avoids a second delivery trip.
Billing period

Is a monthly porta potty rental billed by the calendar month or every 28 days?

Brandon Rental Works bills construction and long-term porta potty rentals every 28 days, not by the calendar month. The 28-day clock starts on the drop-off day. A unit dropped on January 1 renews on January 29. A full year is 13 billing cycles, not 12, and each cycle includes weekly service.

  • No contract. The rental renews every 28 days until you call for pickup.
  • Autopay. The first cycle is paid upfront. Later cycles charge the card on file, with an emailed invoice.
  • Pickup. We pick up within 1–2 business days of your call. Billing stops on the pickup date we confirm.
  • Compare fairly. When another company says "monthly," ask whether that means 28 days or a calendar month.

long-term callers in our 27-call review were on 28-day billing, and none needed a contract. They kept the unit until the job ended, then called for pickup.

Short rentals

Why does a 3-day porta potty rental cost the same as a longer one?

Most of a porta potty rental's cost is the truck: loading, driving, placing, pumping and hauling back. Those trips cost the same for 1 day or 28 days. That is why an event rental is one flat price for 1–5 days, and why a 3-day jobsite rental usually costs about the same as a first 28-day cycle.

Here is what you pay for on every rental, no matter how short:

  1. Prep at the yard. The unit is pumped, pressure-washed, sanitized and restocked.
  2. Delivery trip. A driver and truck go out and place the unit.
  3. Pickup trip. The truck comes back, pumps the tank and hauls the unit home.
  4. Waste hauling. The tank is emptied and the waste is hauled off for disposal.

The days the unit sits on your site cost us very little. So for a short job, ask for the 1–5 day event rental. For anything longer, the 28-day cycle with weekly service is the better buy. See short-term and emergency rentals.

Emergency? Ask for the event rate. A roofing or plumbing job that needs a unit for 2–3 days fits the 1–5 day flat rental. Tell dispatch the real end date and we price it that way.
Fees and tax

What fees and taxes are added to a porta potty quote?

A Brandon Rental Works porta potty quote usually adds 3 lines to the rental price: a same-day fee of $0–$95, a delivery zone fee of $25–$95 outside Denton County, and Texas sales tax (8.25% in Denton). Extra service visits or a dry-run trip fee appear only when they apply. Every line appears on your quote before you pay.

Same-day fee: $0–$95

Call by noon, Mon–Sat, for same-day delivery. The fee depends on distance and the day's route, and it is often $0 near our yard. If we miss a same-day date we promised, the same-day fee is refunded.

Distance fee: $25–$95

Denton County ZIPs have no zone fee. Collin, Dallas and Tarrant County ZIPs may add one. Check yours on the service area page.

Sales tax: 8.25%

Texas sales tax is added to the rental, servicing and fees. In Denton the rate is 8.25%. It is printed on its own line so the total never jumps after you agree.

What we never charge

  • No fuel surcharge. Fuel is built into the delivery price.
  • No credit card fee. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and debit all cost the same.
  • No charge for early drop or Monday pickup on weekend events.
  • No charge for toilet paper or hand sanitizer. Both come stocked.
  • No contract or cancellation penalty when you cancel 24+ hours before delivery.

Comparing quotes

Why is my porta potty quote higher than a price I saw online?

A lower porta potty price online often leaves out lines that show up later: delivery, pickup, a removal fee, a fuel surcharge, a card fee or tax. Compare totals, not unit prices. Ask every company the same 6 questions below, and put each answer in the same column before you decide.

  1. Is delivery and pickup included? For our event rentals in Denton, yes.
  2. How many days does the price cover? Ours: 1–5 days on site for events, 28 days for jobsites.
  3. Is service included? Ours: weekly service on every 28-day rental.
  4. Are there fuel, card or removal fees? We charge no fuel surcharge and no card fee.
  5. Is tax in the number? Ours is shown on its own line at 8.25% in Denton.
  6. Who owns the truck? We own our units and trucks and dispatch from 302 Dallas Dr. Ask if you are booking with the operator or a booking service.

Our porta potty quote checklist puts these questions on one page you can print.

"My friend paid less." Callers in our review remembered numbers from past years or from friends. Those numbers often left out delivery or tax. Read the friend's receipt line by line, then compare it to ours.
Holiday weekends. Holiday weekends book up first. A price that looks low may not hold a unit for those dates. Ours is reserved when paid.
Save money

How can I save money on a porta potty rental?

The 4 best ways to cut a porta potty rental cost are booking a Thursday or Friday drop for weekend events, ordering all units on one delivery, booking 2–3 weeks early for peak dates, and choosing the right unit count the first time. Each one cuts a truck trip or a same-day fee.

  • Take the Friday drop. Weekend events dropped Thursday or Friday and picked up Monday pay one flat price. The extra days are free.
  • Order everything at once. Two units and a hand-wash station ride on one truck trip.
  • Book early for big dates. Graduations, Arts & Jazz weekend and UNT football Saturdays sell out. Early booking avoids a same-day fee.
  • Do not over-order. The sizing method gives you the right count.
  • Long job? Keep one unit and add service. A $45–$75 extra visit often beats a second unit for a crew of 11–20.
Paying

How do I pay, and why was my card declined?

We take Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and debit cards by phone or through a secure online invoice link marked Pay Now. Business accounts may get invoicing. We do not take cash.

From our call logs
4

callers in our 27-call review had a card declined because the billing ZIP did not match the card company's records. Use the ZIP on your card statement, not the delivery ZIP.

FAQ

Porta potty price questions callers ask

My friend paid less last year. Why is your price higher?
Quotes are hard to compare unless every line is on the page. Ask whether your friend's number included delivery, pickup, toilet paper, sanitizer and tax. A Brandon Rental Works standard event unit runs $165–$245 before tax with delivery, setup and pickup in Denton included. The 8.25% Denton sales tax is listed on its own line.
Is there a removal or pickup fee at the end of a construction rental?
Delivery and pickup in Denton County are part of the rental, so there is no surprise line at the end. Outside Denton County a delivery zone fee of $25–$95 may apply, and it is shown on the first quote. Billing stops on the pickup date we confirm.
Do you charge extra for Saturday delivery?
We run Saturday routes from 7 am to 7 pm, and the price is quoted before you book. Most weekend events are dropped Thursday or Friday and picked up Monday at no extra rental charge. A same-day order may carry a same-day fee of $0–$95, quoted on the call.
How much is a porta potty for one day?
A one-day event uses the flat event rental, which covers 1–5 days on site. A standard unit runs $165–$245 before tax, a deluxe flushing unit with sink $245–$365, and a hand-wash station $95–$165. The extra days before and after your party cost nothing.
Can I pay a deposit now and the rest on delivery?
No. Event rentals are paid in full to reserve the date, and jobsite rentals pay the first 28-day cycle upfront. Cancel 24 or more hours before delivery and you get a full refund. We take Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and debit cards, including through a secure online invoice link.
Do you give church or nonprofit discounts?
Our prices are the same itemized ranges for every customer, so there is no hidden markup to discount. The best ways to lower the total are booking early, combining units on one delivery trip, and choosing a Thursday or Friday drop. Call (940) 275-3799 and dispatch will price the cheapest setup that fits.
