No address

Can you deliver a porta potty to rural land with no street address?

Yes. Brandon Rental Works delivers porta potties to rural land with no street address using a Google Maps pin or GPS coordinates. Text the pin to (940) 275-3799 with directions from the nearest paved road, the gate code and an on-site contact. The driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arrival.

  1. Drop the pin on the exact spot, not the front gate or the county road.
  2. Write 2–3 lines of directions: "Second gate past the red barn, left at the tank."
  3. Send the gate code and which gate to use.
  4. Name an on-site contact who can answer the phone if the driver gets turned around.
  5. Mark the spot with a flag, cone or T-post ribbon.

Cell coverage drops out in parts of rural Denton County. Send everything before the delivery day so the driver has it on paper.

callers asked for same-day delivery. One had just bought rural land with no street address and no cell service. A pin drop and written directions got the units there, and they stayed for weeks with weekly service.

Local ground

Do you deliver to ranches and camps around Krum, Ponder, Aubrey, Sanger and Pilot Point?

Yes. We deliver ranch and campsite porta potties across Denton County, including the 76259 Krum and Ponder side, the 76227 Aubrey side, Sanger and Pilot Point. West of I-35, sandy Cross Timbers soil can bog a truck after rain. East of Denton, Blackland Prairie clay turns slick, so gravel or high ground works best.

Access

How do I get the delivery truck through a ranch gate and down a dirt road?

A ranch gate and road need about 10–11 feet of clear width for our truck, with no low wires or branches under 12 feet. Give the gate code, warn us about soft sand or creek crossings, and pick a spot within about 25 feet of where the truck can stop. Our crew hand-carts empty units from there.

  • Gate width: 10–11 feet for the truck. A pipe gate narrower than that means the unit gets placed at the gate.
  • Overhead: trim low oak limbs and check for sagging lines over the road.
  • Wet weather: after heavy rain, dispatch may suggest a spot closer to the paved road.
  • Livestock: tell us if cattle or horses are in the pasture, so we note it and gates stay shut.
  • Locked out: if the driver cannot get in, a trip fee may apply.

Choose the unit

Which porta potty works for a campout, hunting lease or RV park?

A standard PolyJohn PJN3 fits most campouts, hunting leases and ranch work, with a 60-gallon holding tank. Add a hand-wash station when food is cooked. A towable trailer-mounted unit suits big ranches where people move. RV parks and rallies add 1 wheelchair-accessible unit per cluster for guests with limited mobility.

UseUnitWhy
Family campout or scout weekendStandard + hand-wash stationKids, cooking, no plumbing
Hunting lease or deer campStandard, weekly serviceSimple, rugged, no power or water needed
Big ranch, crews or hunters spread outTowable trailer-mounted unitTow it to the work area or the next blind
RV rally or overflow RV parkingStandard bank + accessible + hand-washGuests without RV hookups use them
Ranch gathering or barn partyDeluxe flushing unit with sinkGuests expect a sink and flush
Building a cabin or barnStandard on 28-day billingWeekly service through the build
No power, no water, no problem. Standard, deluxe and accessible units need no hookups. The deluxe unit flushes with a foot pump from its own fresh-water tank. Only restroom trailers need a 120V outlet within 100 feet, which rules them out at most hunting camps and pasture sites.

Compare the standard porta potty, the hand-wash station and the wheelchair-accessible unit before you book.

Sizing

How many porta potties do I need for a campout or RV rally?

A campout or RV rally where people stay overnight needs 1 porta potty per 25 people under our house method for events over 8 hours. A 60-person campout needs 3 units. A 120-person RV rally needs 5 units, with 1 wheelchair-accessible, plus 3 hand-wash stations if meals are cooked on site.

Worked example: 120-person RV rally, Friday to Sunday, shared meals

  1. Over 8 hours, so use 1 unit per 25: 120 ÷ 25 = 4.8. Round up to 5 units.
  2. Accessibility: 5% of 5 rounds up to 1, so 1 wheelchair-accessible + 4 standard.
  3. Meals cooked on site: 5 toilets ÷ 2 = 2.5. Round up to 3 hand-wash stations.
  4. Over 3 days, ask about a mid-rally service visit.

Serving alcohol? Add 1 unit per 100 guests (2 more for 120 guests), then recount hand washing. Many RV guests use the units to save their own holding tanks. Full method: porta potty sizing guide.

Event porta potty calculator

Method: Brandon Rental Works house rule — 1 unit per 50 guests up to 4 hours, 1 per 35 for 4–8 hours, 1 per 25 beyond 8 hours, always rounded up; accessible count from 2010 ADA Standards §213.2 (5%, minimum 1).

Multi-week stays

How does a multi-week ranch or camp rental work with weekly service?

A ranch or camp rental longer than 5 days is billed every 28 days, with 1 service visit a week included. The clock starts on drop-off day. Our pump truck needs a path to within about 25 feet of the unit every week. There is no contract, and pickup comes within 1–2 business days of your call.

  1. Pick a service-friendly spot on firm ground near the ranch road.
  2. Keep the gate code current. A changed code means a missed service.
  3. Weekly visit: pump, sanitize, restock, and a dated ticket inside the door.
  4. Autopay every 28 days with an emailed invoice.
  5. Call for pickup when the season, build or stay ends.

From our call logs
7

long-term callers in our 2026 call review were on 28-day billing, and none needed a contract. On rural land, the unit stays until you call for pickup.

Do not tow a standard unit. A used porta potty cannot be moved or tipped until it is pumped. If you need it in a new spot, call us, or rent a towable trailer-mounted unit.
Placement

Where should a porta potty go at a campsite or ranch?

A campsite or ranch porta potty should sit on level, firm ground, close enough to camp to walk at night and within about 25 feet of a spot the truck can reach. Keep 3 feet clear at the door. Stay off septic lids, drain fields and low spots where rain collects.

  • Light the path. A solar stake light or lantern by the door helps after dark.
  • Shade in summer. Denton's July highs average about 96°F, and shade slows odor.
  • High, flat ground. Rain runoff can undercut the base in a low spot.
  • Stake it in open pasture. Spring storms bring high wind March–June.
  • Away from the fire ring. The plastic shell can melt, and fire damage is billed to the renter.

FAQ

Ranch, campsite and RV park porta potty questions

Do you need GPS coordinates, or is a Google Maps pin enough?
Either works. A Google Maps pin dropped on the exact spot is easiest; GPS latitude and longitude work too. Text it to (940) 275-3799 with directions from the nearest paved road. Drop the pin where the unit goes, not at the front gate.
There's a gate. How does the driver get in?
Give us the gate code or lock combination when you book, and tell us which gate if there are several. It goes in the driver notes. If the gate is locked and nobody can open it, the driver cannot place the unit and a trip fee may apply, so double-check the code.
The ground is sandy or soft. Can the truck get in?
Usually, if we plan for it. Sandy roads near Krum, Ponder and Argyle can bog a truck after rain. Pick a spot near a firm road or gravel pad, tell dispatch about soft stretches, and have someone guide the driver the first time if the road is tricky.
Do I have to meet the driver at the site?
No, unless the site is hard to find. Ranches, leases and campsites often need an on-site contact who can answer the phone or meet the truck at the turn-off. For a simple drop, a pin, a gate code and a flag on the spot are enough.
What if there's no cell service out on the land?
Send everything before delivery day: the pin, 2–3 lines of written directions, the gate code and a backup contact. The driver keeps those notes on the order. One caller in our logs had no address and no cell service on newly bought land, and written directions got the units there.
How often will you clean it out at the ranch?
Once a week on any rental of 6 days or more, included in the 28-day rate. A standard unit on a ranch or lease typically runs $145–$215 per 28 days before tax. A weekend campout of 1–5 days is one flat event price, typically $165–$245 before tax, with no mid-stay service needed.
Can I get a porta potty for a family campout this weekend?
Yes. Call by noon Monday through Saturday for same-day delivery in Denton and most nearby Denton County ZIPs. Weekend campouts usually get a Friday drop and Monday pickup at one flat price. Sunday is not a delivery day.
