Rental lengths

Can I rent a porta potty for just one day, a weekend or a week?

Yes. A porta potty can be rented for 1 day, a weekend or up to 5 days at one flat price in Denton. A weekend rental is usually dropped Thursday or Friday and picked up Monday. A rental longer than 5 days moves to our 28-day cycle, which includes a service visit every week.

rentals were for a single-day event, the most common rental we see. A one-day need still gets the full flat-price window, so most renters keep the unit Friday through Monday.

Flat price, explained

Why does a 3-day porta potty rental cost the same as a 1-day rental?

A 3-day porta potty rental costs the same as a 1-day rental because most of the cost is fixed: 1 delivery trip, 1 pickup trip, and 1 full pump-and-sanitize at our yard. Those 3 jobs take the same truck time and labor whether the unit stands for 1 day or 5, so we charge one flat price.

A roofing contractor in our call logs needed a unit for 3 days after his supplier failed to deliver. He was quoted the same as a full month somewhere else and said, "It's not making sense to me." He was right to ask. Here is how the cost breaks down at Brandon Rental Works.

Truck trip to pick up111
Pump, wash, sanitize, restock at the yard111

PriceOne flat short-term price

Past 5 days, the unit needs servicing to stay clean, so it moves to the 28-day cycle, where weekly service is built in. That is the line between a short-term and a long-term rental.

Plain math. If you need the unit Wednesday to Friday, you pay the same as Friday only. So keep it a little longer: drop a day early, pick up a day late, and stop worrying about timing.

callers objected to price or compared quotes. The most common surprise was tax and fees added after the first number, so every short-term quote lists each line before you pay.

Emergencies

How fast can I get a porta potty in an emergency?

An emergency porta potty can arrive the same day in Denton and most Denton County ZIPs when you call (940) 275-3799 by 12:00 noon, Monday through Saturday. Calls after noon get the first slot the next morning. Same-day stock is standard units and hand-wash stations, and any same-day fee is quoted before you book.

  1. Call, do not just email. Phones are answered live 7 am–7 pm, Mon–Sat.
  2. Give the ZIP, the reason and the head count. Dispatch picks the unit count.
  3. Approve the itemized quote and pay by card or secure link. Use the card's billing ZIP.
  4. Text a photo of the spot to (940) 275-3799. Mark it with a cone or chair.
  5. Get the window. The driver texts about 30 minutes before arrival.

Emergency types

Which emergencies need a short-term porta potty?

Short-term porta potty emergencies fall into 4 main groups: a plumbing outage, a septic backup, a supplier no-show on a jobsite, and storm damage that cuts water or sewer. Each one is booked as a flat 1–5 day rental. Add a hand-wash station whenever there is no working sink nearby, because sanitizer alone does not replace washing.

EmergencyWhat we usually sendTip
Plumbing outage or sewer repair at a home1 standard unitAdd a hand-wash station if the kitchen sink is off too.
Apartment or office building without toilets2 or more units + hand-washUse the event method: about 1 unit per 50 people for a 4-hour stretch, more for all-day use.
Septic backup at a rural home1 standard unitPlace it away from the tank lid and drain field so the pump truck has room.
Jobsite supplier no-show1 unit per up to 20 workersShort job? Ask for the flat 1–5 day price instead of a 28-day cycle.
Storm damage, water or power offStandard units + hand-wash stationsSpring storms run March–June; we stake units on open lots on request.
Family emergency or funeral gathering1–2 standard unitsCall by noon for same-day; we place units quietly to the side.

One apartment complex in our call logs had no working toilets during a plumbing repair and needed a unit for "a few days." That is exactly what the flat 1–5 day price is for. Jobsite crews should also read the construction site toilet page for OSHA counts.

Booking checklist

What should I have ready when I call for a short-term porta potty?

Have 6 things ready when you call for a short-term porta potty: the ZIP or a map pin, the drop date, the pickup date, the head count, the exact spot, and any gate code or low wire. With those, dispatch quotes and books a same-day or next-day rental in a few minutes.

Have this readyWhy dispatch asks
ZIP code or Google Maps pinSets same-day options and any distance fee.
Drop day and pickup dayConfirms the flat 1–5 day price applies.
How many people, for how longSets the unit count and whether to add hand washing.
The spot: level, firm, 5 × 5 ftThe truck needs a path about 10–11 ft wide.
Gate code, low wires, parked carsA blocked path can mean a trip fee.
Card with matching billing ZIPAvoids the decline that slows a rush order.
Nobody has to be home. Mark the spot with a cone, flag or sign, or text a photo to (940) 275-3799. The driver texts about 30 minutes ahead and places the unit on your mark.

Backyard spot?

A standard unit is 43.5 inches wide, so a backyard gate must be at least 48 inches. Our crew can cart an empty unit about 25 feet from the truck. See the porta potty placement guide.

Going longer

What happens if I need the porta potty longer than 5 days?

A short-term porta potty that needs to stay past 5 days moves to our 28-day cycle, which includes 1 service visit every week. Call (940) 275-3799 before the scheduled pickup day. There is no contract: keep it as long as you need, call when you are done, and pickup follows within 1–2 business days.

  1. Call or text before pickup day so the driver does not load it.
  2. Dispatch switches the order to a 28-day cycle and adds weekly service.
  3. Your card is charged per cycle, with an emailed invoice each time.
  4. Call for pickup when the repair or job is done.

Details on autopay, weekly service and pickup are on the long-term porta potty rental page.

Do not move a used unit. If the repair crew needs the spot, call us. A used porta potty cannot be tipped or moved until it is pumped.
Cleaning

Does a short-term porta potty need cleaning during the rental?

A short-term porta potty used for 1 to 3 days by a normal crowd needs no cleaning during the rental. Each unit arrives pumped, pressure-washed, sanitized and stocked with 2 toilet paper rolls and sanitizer. A 4–5 day rental with heavy daily use, like a busy household or crew, can add 1 extra service visit.

  • Keep the door latched when not in use to keep heat and bugs out.
  • Shade helps. Denton's July highs average about 96°F, and heat speeds odor.
  • Running low on paper? Call or text and we add a restock to the route.
  • Keep trash out of the tank. Bottles and diapers make pumping harder.

FAQ

Short-term and emergency rental questions

Is the price the same if I need it for 3 days or 5 days?
Yes. A short-term rental is one flat price for 1 to 5 days on site. A standard unit typically runs $165–$245 before tax in Denton, with delivery, setup, pickup, toilet paper and sanitizer included. Most of the cost is the two truck trips and the cleaning at our yard, which are the same for 1 day or 5.
Is there an extra charge for same-day or emergency delivery?
Sometimes. A same-day fee of $0–$95 may apply, depending on distance and how our trucks are routed that day. Dispatch tells you the exact amount before you book, and it shows as its own line on the quote. Next-day delivery for orders booked by 5 pm usually has no rush fee.
Can you deliver tomorrow morning?
Usually. Next-day delivery is standard for orders booked by 5 pm. Dispatch gives you a 4-hour window, and you can ask for a morning preference, which we note on the route. The driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arrival.
Our plumbing is out. Can I rent one for just a few days?
Yes. A plumbing outage, sewer line repair or septic backup is a standard short-term rental: one flat price for 1–5 days. Tell dispatch how many people need it. Apartment buildings and offices often need 2 or more units plus a hand-wash station.
What if I need it longer than 5 days?
Call before the pickup day. Past 5 days, the rental moves to our 28-day cycle, which includes weekly service. There is no contract, so you call when you are done and pickup follows in 1–2 business days.
What if the plumber finishes early?
Call or text (940) 275-3799 and we move the pickup up to the next open route. The flat price covers 1 to 5 days, so an early pickup does not change the price. A used unit cannot be moved until it is pumped, so leave it in place for the driver.
Can you deliver on a Sunday?
No. We deliver Monday through Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm. For a Sunday need, book a Saturday or Friday drop. The voicemail and quote form are checked Sunday evening, so a Sunday emergency gets the first Monday route.
