"My party is Saturday. Why are you bringing it Thursday?" It is one of the most common questions on our phones. The short answer: early delivery is free, and it removes the biggest risk of party day, which is waiting on a truck. Here is how weekend scheduling works at Brandon Rental Works.

Why does my Saturday party porta potty arrive on Friday?

A Saturday party porta potty arrives Thursday or Friday so it is in place, level and stocked before guests show up. A 4-hour delivery window on party morning leaves little room for traffic, a blocked driveway or a guest parked on the truck path. A Friday drop removes that risk.

Think about Saturday morning at your house. Tables are going up, cars are parking, and the cooler is out. A truck that needs a 10–11 foot path does not fit well into that picture. On Friday, the driveway is clear and the driver has room to place the unit right.

weekend event calls we reviewed ended with a Thursday or Friday drop and a Monday pickup. It is the most common schedule for a party rental.

Early delivery also gives you a day to check the spot. If the door faces the wrong way or the unit sits too close to the fence, call us Friday. That is an easy fix before anyone has used it.

Do I pay extra for the Friday drop and Monday pickup?

No. Brandon Rental Works charges one flat event price for 1–5 days on site, so a Thursday or Friday drop and a Monday pickup cost the same as a one-day rental. The quote includes delivery, setup, pickup, toilet paper and sanitizer. The extra weekend days are free.

A Thursday drop to a Monday pickup is 5 days on site. That still fits the flat event rental. If you need the unit longer than 5 days, it becomes a short-term weekly rental instead.

Can you deliver the porta potty on Saturday instead?

Yes. Brandon Rental Works delivers on Saturdays from 7 am to 7 pm as a normal workday. Saturday delivery works best for afternoon or evening parties, sites that are locked until Saturday, or renters who cannot leave a unit out on Friday night. Sunday deliveries and pickups are not offered.

Saturday delivery makes sense in a few cases:

  • The site is locked until Saturday. A park pavilion, church lot or rented venue.
  • HOA rules limit how long a unit can sit out. Some master-planned areas care about this.
  • The party starts at 4 pm or later. A morning window leaves plenty of room.
  • You booked late. Call by noon Saturday for same-day delivery of a standard unit in most Denton ZIPs.

For a morning party, we still suggest Friday. A Saturday window is 4 hours long, and we would rather not cut it close.

When is the porta potty dropped off and picked up for each event day?

A Saturday event usually gets a Thursday or Friday drop and a Monday pickup. A Sunday event gets a Friday or Saturday drop and a Monday pickup. A Friday event gets a Thursday or Friday-morning drop. All 3 schedules stay inside the flat 1–5 day event rental.

If Monday is a holiday, dispatch tells you the pickup day when you book, so you are not guessing on Monday morning.

What time will the driver arrive on Friday?

Dispatch gives you a 4-hour delivery window before the drop, and the driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arrival. You can ask for morning or afternoon, and we note it on the route. Nobody needs to be home if the spot is marked with a cone, flag or texted photo.

Delivery time was one of the top questions in the calls we reviewed. Five callers asked what time the driver would come. That is why every order gets a window and a heads-up text.

  1. Book by phone or the quote form. Give the ZIP, date and spot.
  2. Get your window. A 4-hour block for your drop day.
  3. Mark the spot. Cone, flag, sign or a photo texted to (940) 275-3799.
  4. Heads-up text. About 30 minutes before the truck arrives.
  5. Monday pickup. Leave the gate open or the code active.

Is it OK to leave the porta potty out all weekend?

Yes. A porta potty is built to sit outside for days, and 3 or 4 nights on site is normal for a weekend rental. Place the porta potty close to the house on level ground, not at the curb. In spring storm season, March to June, ask us to stake or tie down the unit on an open lot.

Keep the door shut when the party ends, and tell guests not to move it. A used unit cannot be tipped or moved until it is pumped. Under our rental terms, normal wear is ours. Vandalism, fire, tipping and graffiti are the renter's responsibility, so a spot near the house is the safer choice.

What do I need to do before the Monday pickup?

Before the Monday pickup, leave the porta potty where it sits, close the door, and keep a truck path about 10–11 feet wide clear. Leave the gate unlocked or the gate code active. Nobody needs to be home on Monday. The driver pumps the tank on site, loads the unit and takes it back to our Denton yard.

A few small things make Monday go smoothly:

  • Move cars off the path. The truck needs about 10–11 feet of width again on Monday.
  • Pull trash out of the unit. Bags, cups and bottles left inside go out with your own trash.
  • Do not drag it to the curb. A used unit must be pumped before it is moved or tipped.
  • Tell us about changes. New gate code, new fence panel or a locked side yard? Text dispatch Sunday evening.

Sunday evening is when our office checks voicemail and the online form, so a Sunday text still reaches the Monday route sheet.

What happens if it rains on the weekend?

Rain does not cancel a weekend porta potty delivery or the Monday pickup. If the ground turns soft, the driver places the unit on the firmest spot near your marked one. Black clay east of Denton gets slick and sandy lots west of I-35 can bog a truck, so pick gravel or concrete when storms are forecast.

If the party itself moves because of weather, call us at least 24 hours before delivery. Date changes are free with that much notice, and the drop and pickup move together.

Which Denton weekends book up first?

The Denton weekends that book up first are UNT and TWU graduation weekends in May and December, the Denton Arts & Jazz Festival in late April, the North Texas State Fair & Rodeo in August, and UNT home football Saturdays in fall. Book 2–3 weeks ahead for those dates.

Holiday weekends fill up too. If you call late, same-day stock is standard units and hand-wash stations. Deluxe, wheelchair-accessible and trailer units are usually next-day, so book those early. Not sure how many to reserve? Our backyard party checklist covers counts, placement and the timeline. For bigger gatherings, see event porta potty rentals.

FAQ

Weekend delivery questions

Do I pay more for a Friday drop-off and Monday pickup?
No. A party rental is one flat event price for 1–5 days on site. A standard unit typically runs $165–$245 before sales tax in Denton, and that number is the same whether we drop it Thursday, Friday or Saturday morning. The extra days are free.
Is there a fee for Saturday delivery?
No separate weekend fee. Our trucks run Saturday 7 am–7 pm as a normal workday, and Saturday is quoted like any other day. A same-day fee of $0–$95 can apply only if you call that same Saturday morning for a same-day drop, and we tell you the amount before you book.
Can you pick up the porta potty on Sunday night?
No. Brandon Rental Works does not deliver or pick up on Sundays. A weekend party unit is picked up Monday. If you need the spot clear sooner, ask for a Saturday evening pickup when you book and dispatch will check the route.
My party is on a Friday. When do you deliver?
For a Friday party we usually deliver Thursday, or Friday morning if you book a same-day or early slot. Pickup is normally the next business day. All of that stays inside the flat 1–5 day event rental.
What if I need to change my party date?
Date changes are free with 24 hours or more notice before the scheduled delivery. Call (940) 275-3799 and dispatch moves the drop and pickup together. Cancelling 24+ hours ahead gets a full refund; inside 24 hours we refund everything except the delivery fee.
Can I keep the porta potty longer than Monday?
Yes. Ask when you book. An event rental covers up to 5 days on site. If you need it longer, dispatch can quote a short-term rental for a week or switch you to a 28-day rental with weekly service.
